The EU-funded Integrated Border Management Projects (EUIBMLBN3) is inviting local organizations and businesses across different sectors to contribute and shape the “Integrated National Maritime Strategy of Lebanon”.  A series of consultation sessions will result in their contribution feeding into the Lebanese National Maritime Strategy that will serve the country.

كيف يمكننا تغيير الأسلوب القديم في جلسات التدريب والانتقال إلى فعاليات أكثر استدامة؟ ما هو النموذج الذي يجب اعتماده؟ ما هي العقبات والعوامل المساعدة لنجاح المؤسسات؟ ستجيب عبير غطاس، وهي ناشطة لبنانية، ومتخصّصة في مجال الاتصالات الرقمية وتقنية المعلومات، عن هذه السئلة وتناقش مفهوم أمن المؤسسات، وكيفية التدّرب عليه، وكيف يمكن استخدامه داخل مؤسساتنا.

Through this experimental exchange we want to bring those together who drive or support participatory change processes, conflict transformation, and empowerment in communities. We want to explore the issues, strengths and challenges that unite all of us who work on participatory community empowerment. من خلال هذا التبادل التجريبي، نود أن نجمع المعنيون الذين يقودون أو يدعمون عمليات التغيير التشاركية، تحويل النزاعات، التمكين، والدمج في المجتمعات المحلية. نريد أن نستكشف القضايا والمصالح ونقاط القوة والتحديات التي توحدنا جميعا في العمل على تمكين المجتمع التشاركي.

The consociational system as well as kinship-based politics have not allowed circulation of political elites, limiting the entry and participation of newcomers and women to the political scene in Lebanon. The 2018 Lebanese parliamentary elections are scheduled to take place on 6 May after nearly a decade since the last time they were held.
