We will discuss what the environmental crisis is made of, and where are the myths and the realities. Is there really plastic in our food? How is climate change affecting us? We will try to take distance from emotions and see the factual picture.
This training explores social work practice in light of these contextual and relational dynamics, taking a step back to redirect our actions where necessary and to the extent possible. By exploring various tools and sharing experiences, it aims at better understanding power dynamics that emerge and form in the field and at exploring new approaches for interventions. During this event, we will launch the third issue of the Civil Society Review*, our peer-reviewed journal, as well as introduce its editorial board. The film explores violence and memory, sectarian divide and sustainable peace in Lebanon told through the stories of ex-fighters from the Lebanese Civil War (1975-1990).
The purpose of the workshop is to provide history teachers with the latest scholarship on the history of Lebanon, latest approaches to history education including archival resources (pedagogy), educational tools for students projects and presentations.
The workshop will include a two weeks training from July 20 till August 03, 2019 and an educational exhibition during Summer 2020
This event constitutes an opportunity for attendees to identify like-minded organisations and conceive potential collaborations, in order to strengthen civil society cooperation and synergies.
