اجتمعت مجموعة من الخبراء في 21 كانون الثاني 2020 لتقييم الأثر الاجتماعي للأزمات الاقتصادية والمالية وقنوات انتقالها، ولتقديم توصيات واسعة النطاق تهدف إلى التخفيف من آثارها المحتملة. وتُعرض مواقف وتوصيات المجموعة في الوثيقة التالية

A group of experts convened on 21 January, 2020, to assess the social impact of the economic and financial crises, as well as their transmission channels, and to provide broad recommendations to mitigate its potential effects. The positions and recommendations of the group are presented in the following document.

لم يكن كافيا لنا النتائج الاجتماعية المدمرة والتي تمثلت بصرف الاف العمال وتحول الباقين الى العمل بنصف دوام ونصف راتب وانسداد فرص العمل وضياع مدخراتنا المالية وودائعنا المالية المحدودة بسبب السياسات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية النيولويبرالية والريعية التي يتبعها النظام اللبناني وغياب العدالة الاجتماعية، هذا النظام قادنا الى الانهيار المالي والاقتصادي مترافقا مع الانهيار السياسي والاخلاقي للطبقات الحاكمة، وأخيرا أتى وباء الكورونا يهددنا في حياتنا وبقائنا.
