إثر اختتام الجلسة العامة لمنتدى التضامن الإقليمي، وهو مساحة جماعيّة تضم فاعلين من المجتمع المدني من منطقة جنوب غرب آسيا وشمال أفريقيا، يجمعهم التزام سياسي وحقوقي عميق بالعدالة والكرامة والتحرر يؤكد المنتدى على أهمية التضامن كقيمة إنسانية وكأداة مقاومة أساسية لمواجهة التحديات الخطيرة التي تعرفها المنطقة على أكثر من مستوى.

إنَّ المنظّمات المُوقِّعة أدناه تُتابِعُ بقلقٍ بالغ التدهورَ السريع والخطير في مشهد الحرّيات العامّة في تونس. فقد شهدت تونس اعتبارًا من عام ٢٠٢١ - وبحِدّةٍ متزايدة منذ عام ٢٠٢٣ - حملات مُمَنْهَجَة تستهدف الأصوات المستقلّة، وتُقوِّض دور المجتمع المدني، وتُجرِّم جميع أشكال المُعارضة المدنية والسياسية.

The undersigned organisations are following with deep concern the rapid and alarming deterioration of the public freedoms landscape in Tunisia. Since 2021—and with increasing intensity since 2023—the country has witnessed systematic campaigns targeting independent voices, undermining the role of civil society, and criminalising all forms of civic and political opposition.

Marina Topuskanian embarked in a volunteering journey in Poland. In her article she described her learning and growth journey. Abdul Hadi Abdul Bari Al-Othman is a Syrian registered as an asylum-seeker with the UNHCR in Lebanon since 2013. He resides in Koura-Tripoli, Lebanon. In May 2023, he was arrested in Tripoli on charges related to theft. On July 20, 2023, the Indictment Chamber in North Lebanon decided to release him. However, he was transferred to the retention center of the General Security in Beirut, and has been detained since then.

عبد الهادي عبد الباري العثمان سوري مسجل كطالب لجوء لدى مفوضية الأمم المتحدة لشؤون اللاجئين في لبنان منذ عام 2013، مقيم في الكورة-في طرابلس، لبنان. في أيار 2023، أعتقل في طرابلس شمالي لبنان بتهمة تتعلق بالسرقة. في 20 تموز 2023، قررت الهيئة الإتهامية في الشمال بالإفراج عنه. لكنه أحيل إلى مركز الإحتجاز في الأمن العام في بيروت، ومنذ ذلك الحين لا يزال معتقلاً.

This open letter has been prepared in a coordinated effort by the below-signed civil society and non-governmental organizations with the aim of calling on UNHCR to increase cooperation and transparency with local organizations to adequately respond to the alarming deportations of Syrian refugees from Lebanon to Syria.

On Wednesday January 13th, 2021 Charity Donation launched its first campaign for the year 2021, “Charity Donation Vegetables Campaign”, in collaboration with Faraj Agriculture. The foundation distributed lettuces and Iceberg to many NGOs in the Bekaa area such as Nusroto, the Youth Association of West Bekaa & Rashaya, Foyer Saint Joseph, El Marj Sport Academy, and the Committee of Barelias bl aleb.

These parties in turn donate to families in need in their respective regions.

As a sign of gratitude of their hard work in fighting the Corona Virus , Charity Donation distributed Love Bites Products on Nurses in the National Nurses Day.

On Thursday May 7th, 2020 a group of Charity Donation members went on a goodwill visit to NUSROTO foundation. This drug rehabilitation center has a jail for youngsters along its premises, whereas two persons shared their stories to the team. As a token of respect to this mission, Charity Donation donates 200 boxes of Love Bites while explaining the project.

It is heartwarming to see persons such Father Marwan Ghanem and Ms. Rima Turk dedicating their lives to help persons with severe drug cases.

A group of experts convened on 21 January, 2020, to assess the social impact of the economic and financial crises, as well as their transmission channels, and to provide broad recommendations to mitigate its potential effects.
