On the IPC’s new warning that “the worst-case scenario of famine is currently playing out in the Gaza Strip,” Islamic Relief says:

This new alert confirms the inhumane scenes our staff and partners in Gaza are witnessing every day – famine is taking hold and people are being starved to death.

This suffering is entirely man-made. It’s caused by Israel’s relentless attacks and cruel blockade that stops food and medicine from reaching starving people, and by world leaders’ shameful failure to take action.
