The articles gathered in this dossier offer insights, based on case studies, into the transformation of the “associative sector” in Lebanon, a sector generally seen to be at the core of an increasingly active civil society.
UNDP Strengthening Civil Peace in Lebanon Project has been supporting the process of the establishment of a national civil society platform on civil peace since 2011, consisting of 10 national organizations,taking into account past experiences and emerging lessons learnt.
The Strategic Planning is based on the findings of fieldwork carried out in several villages in Dinnieh, which aimed at identifying the major characteristics of the region in different fields.
The proposal is to build a network from existing institutions and bodies already present on the ground with SAMIDOUN, and to build social centers working on various identified issues.
