This report attempts to answer current gaps in the literature analysing WPE and WPP donor-funded initiatives in Lebanon, and asks the following question: what explains the current gap between donor-funded WPE and WPP initiatives, and the continued low rates of women’s political participation and overall low political empowerment in Lebanon?

This action-oriented research aims to inform practitioners and decision makers on social protection status, needs and gaps of workers in the civil society sector. It formulates targeted recommendations that aim at enhancing access to civil society workers to social protection, and that target the Lebanese state, the donor community and international NGOs, and local NGOs.

This research study presents the main finding of marginalization and exploitation processes related to Palestinian youth in Lebanon. The study was conducted between 2016-2017 in all over Lebanon including Palestinian camps and gatherings. Quantitative facts about the topic are well documented in the study. Lebanon provides a refuge for many women and teenagers driven away from neighbouring countries by wars and conflicts, as well as some who have come from other countries seeking better economic conditions.

Only a handful of studies in Lebanon have shed light on the changing gendered dynamics within the refugee families by comparing gender roles, expectations, and practices before and after displacement (as result of armed conflict).

Today, women in Lebanon are fighting for equal access to opportunities and rights without prejudice against their gender, their expectations and their careers.

This study maps the current state of gender justice in the Arab region, documenting barriers as well as opportunities. Its primary research aim is to determine how to develop an environment, at the legal, policy, and social levels that is conducive to gender justice.

The goal of this study is to measure the impact of the legal status policy on refugee vulnerability and to assess the extent of refugee resilience.
