  1. BACKGROUND CARITAS LEBANON SAFE HOUSE- OLIVE

Caritas Lebanon Safe House- Olive serves the migrant women domestic workers in Lebanon who has been victim of human trafficking. Regardless of nationality, migrant workers in Lebanon face similar problems, and often end up in situations of forced labor or trafficking. This is characterized by the confiscation of passports, unlimited working days and working hours, psychological pressures and physical and sexual abuse. They are effectively trapped in these situations without recourse, because of the sponsorship (Kafala) system in place in Lebanon.

A large number of those women are referred to the CL women shelters. The multidisciplinary team of Caritas Lebanon follows up their cases. And the empowerment and healing is one of the main objectives where the women are supported to deal with their trauma and regain their normal life.

Therefore Caritas Lebanon is seeking to contract a suitably certified and experienced Yoga teacher to undertake sessions with the migrant domestic workers at Safe house- Olive. The purpose of this Terms of Reference (TOR) is to solicit proposals for the yoga session advertised.
