Social Worker

The social worker also operates the hotline and must be ready to answer phone calls around the clock 24/7. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the social worker must coordinate and cooperate with other employees to help in project implementation.   Specific Responsibilities   The social worker must: Receive abused women, undertake screening and assessment and offer listening and counseling center services to the beneficiaries. Be responsible for linking the cases of abused women with the committee of lawyers. Oversee the legal follow up and provide feedback to the beneficiaries. Refer the beneficiaries to sub-contracted experts (forensic doctors, psychotherapists…etc) and to organizations providing aid and governmental institutions. When necessary, assist the beneficiaries in overcoming their economical dependency (refer them to vocational training centers, job search…etc) Participate in the preparation and execution of educational/awareness raising activities and training sessions. Skills and requirements:   The social worker must have: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds and gain their trust. A practical and flexible approach to work. Patience and empathy. An understanding of the needs of different client groups. A non-judgmental attitude. The ability to work in a team and also use your own initiative. The ability to assess situations and take appropriate action. Resilience, to cope with difficult situations and challenging clients. Good time management and organizational skills. Computer literacy and administrative skills.
