Individual Giving / Crm Fundraiser

    Takes part in  designing messages directed at local sponsors and donors and selecting the channels that will be used to transmit messages   She/he is innovative and creative in raising funds from individuals according to the business plan and targets, based on SOS best practice, competitors’ activities, research, tests and continuous evaluation of fundraising opportunities, methods and results. Uses a strategic mix of products (committed giving, single/sporadic gifts, merchandising, …), and channels (direct mail, face2face, telemarketing, combined like click to call, mass media, digital, events...) Builds long lasting relationships with individual donors (donor lifetime cycle) Is responsible for fulfilling the business plan and for reaching the set and agreed targets. Interprets and uses as reference point the analyses of campaigns and activities conducted by the Fundraising Analyst according to the planning and reporting procedure and against defined and agreed KPIs / Controlling Figures (such as response rates, PBT (payback time), ROI, attrition rate, real net income) She/he has to adhere to all official manuals, guidelines, minutes of Fund Development & Communication Workshops and standards issued by the SOS Children’s Villages as well as to the legal requirements in the country. In close collaboration with the Fundraising Analyst, she/he monitors competitors in terms of individual fundraising, the development in the market, as well as fundraising-related legal regulations (tax exemptions, merchandising, data protection etc.) and the economic development (increase of costs, economic growth…) in the country.   Other pre-requisits A proven track record of at least 3-5 years in individual fundraising, marketing or sales - depending on the educational background. Experience in planning, executing and analysing acquisition campaigns via mass marketing and direct marketing channels and tools Knowledge and experience in customer relationship management (donor lifetime cycle) Self-motivated, determined, innovative, pro-active and with a “can do” mentality, i.e. ability to identify and take advantage of fundraising opportunities. Excellent oral and written communication skills and social competence.
