انطلاقًا من خبرات مؤسسية عملية، سيركّز النقاش على الدروس المستفادة بدل الاكتفاء بطرح توصيات نظرية. ويهدف إلى فتح نقاش صريح حول سبل تمكين مراكز الأبحاث المستقلة والمنصّات الإعلامية البديلة من الحفاظ على نزاهتها الفكرية وصلتها بمختلف القطاعات، في سياق واقع تمويلي متحوّل.

Grounded in institutional practice, the webinar will focus on lessons learned rather than abstract prescriptions. It aims to open a candid conversation about how independent centres can sustain both intellectual integrity and cross-sector relevance while adapting to evolving funding realities.

This workshop co-organised by Lebanon Support and the Arab NGO Network for Development aims to place the localisation debate in a longer temporality of global discussions that have shaped international cooperation during the past decades, and at bringing back equal and balanced partnerships at the heart of these discussions, and initiate a process towards the adoption and enactment of a civil society charter in Lebanon.

The consociational system as well as kinship-based politics have not allowed circulation of political elites, limiting the entry and participation of newcomers and women to the political scene in Lebanon. The 2018 Lebanese parliamentary elections are scheduled to take place on 6 May after nearly a decade since the last time they were held.
