تعرض هذه الندوة نتائج تقريرٌ مشترك من إعداد "شبكة المنظّمات العربية غير الحكومية للتنمية" و"مركز العلوم الاجتماعية للأبحاث التطبيقية". كما تسعى إلى فهم ومعالجة تأُثير الأبحاث المبنيّة على الأدلّة على النقاشات العامّة ومسارات صنع السياسات، وذلك انطلاقًا من مثال صندوق النقد الدولي.

This webinar presents the findings of a joint report co-authored by the Arab NGO Network for Development and the Centre for Social Sciences Research and Action. It also seeks to understand, and address, via the example of the IMF, how evidence based research can impact public debates and policy making processes.

تندرج هذه الندوة في إطار سلسلة من الندوات أطلقها مركز العلوم الاجتماعية للأبحاث التطبيقية تحت عنوان "فهم المسألة الاجتماعية في الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا". من خلال إجراء مسح تاريخي وسياسي لعمليات إعادة التشكيل التدريجي للمسألة الاجتماعية في المنطقة، تطمح سلسلة الندوات هذه إلى المساهمة في تحقيق فهم أفضل لعملية بناء مَطالِب العدالة الاجتماعية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا خلال عصرنا الحالي.

The webinar is part of the thematic cycle “Understanding the social question in the Middle East and North Africa” by The Centre for Social Sciences Research and Action. By undertaking a historical and political survey of the progressive reconfigurations of the social question in the region, this webinar series wishes to contribute to better understand the construction of social justice demands in contemporary Middle East and North Africa.

In early 2022, JLI launched our first three regional learning hubs, in the Middle East, Syria, and East Africa. Each regional hub has embarked on an individual journey of mapping, networking, engagement, and learning with local actors from the region. This series will explore those journeys, and will showcase the challenges, opportunities, successes, and learning that happens when we shift the power. عبر إعادة تسليط الضوء على المسألة الاجتماعية كركيزة للتحليل، تسعى هذه الندوة الثالثة إلى تقديم لمحة عامّة عن التوتّرات الاجتماعية القديمة والجديدة التي يشهدها المجتمعان التونسي والمصري حاليًا. وتهدف الندوة من خلال ذلك إلى تحدّي المقاربات السائدة القائمة على ثنائية النجاح/الفشل، والتي يُفسَّر على أساسها التطوّر التاريخي للمنطقة في مرحلة ما بعد الانتفاضات الشعبية.

By bringing back the social question at the center of the analysis, this third seminar aims at providing an overview of the old and new social tensions that are currently crossing the Tunisian and Egyptian societies. In so doing, the webinar seeks to challenge the dominant dichotomic success/failure approaches with which the post-Uprising historical development of the region has been understood.
