Drawing on key findings from CeSSRA’s research (report, policy brief, and infographic), the webinar aims to discuss, on the one hand, how outdated, siloed systems have hindered effective crisis response. Lebanon of Tomorrow recently organized an Iftar event in partnership with Dar El Aajaza, a charity organization that provides care for the elderly. The event aimed to bring joy and comfort to the elderly during the holy month of Ramadan. The organization prepared a delicious dinner, including salads and desserts, to be distributed to all the elderly residents at Dar El Aajaza. This event provided an opportunity for the elderly to socialize and enjoy a special meal.

In this 2-hour online-session we will discuss the signs of conflict escalation and what makes it difficult to act. We will also share tips on how to de-escalate in different situations. And we will look at how to take care of ourselves and others during (or after) such incidents. This can also mean letting go of self-judgements about how we ‘should have reacted’.
