Drawing on key findings from CeSSRA’s research (report, policy brief, and infographic), the webinar aims to discuss, on the one hand, how outdated, siloed systems have hindered effective crisis response. On the other, the session will also unpack the broader social justice implications of a unified system that ensures no one is left behind, and ultimately how a universal social protection system can support state-building.

Lebanon of Tomorrow recently organized an Iftar event in partnership with Dar El Aajaza, a charity organization that provides care for the elderly. The event aimed to bring joy and comfort to the elderly during the holy month of Ramadan. The organization prepared a delicious dinner, including salads and desserts, to be distributed to all the elderly residents at Dar El Aajaza. This event provided an opportunity for the elderly to socialize and enjoy a special meal.

This project “Transferring (Feet) Head Heart Hands Youth Methodology to (Middle) East” (THYME) is focusing on global citizenship and its education, democracy, and sustainable development. That goes in line also with European Youth Goals. THYME aims at developing the awareness of youth as global citizens, and enabling them to explore how can they influence a local community to be more sustainable. Their local community will be their point of departure to explore can it be smarter and more sustainable.
