Discussing the finding of the report that is part of a multi-country study in Lebanon, Ethiopia, and Kachin State, Myanmar to assess the prevalence of child, early, and forced marriage in fragile and humanitarian contexts and to evaluate the effectiveness of child marriage interventions and programming.
This workshop co-organised by Lebanon Support and the Arab NGO Network for Development aims to place the localisation debate in a longer temporality of global discussions that have shaped international cooperation during the past decades, and at bringing back equal and balanced partnerships at the heart of these discussions, and initiate a process towards the adoption and enactment of a civil society charter in Lebanon.

We will discuss what the environmental crisis is made of, and where are the myths and the realities. Is there really plastic in our food? How is climate change affecting us? We will try to take distance from emotions and see the factual picture.
This training explores social work practice in light of these contextual and relational dynamics, taking a step back to redirect our actions where necessary and to the extent possible. By exploring various tools and sharing experiences, it aims at better understanding power dynamics that emerge and form in the field and at exploring new approaches for interventions. The objective is to enable the implementation of fair and equitable projects for all.
During this event, we will launch the third issue of the Civil Society Review*, our peer-reviewed journal, as well as introduce its editorial board. This issue offers insights into the transformation of the “associative sector” in Lebanon and Palestine, a sector generally seen to be at the core of an increasingly active civil society.
The Gender in Development and Humanitarian Assistance (GDHA) Certificate is a continuing education program designed for students, practitioners, and policymakers.
