عبر إعادة تسليط الضوء على المسألة الاجتماعية كركيزة للتحليل، تسعى هذه الندوة الثالثة إلى تقديم لمحة عامّة عن التوتّرات الاجتماعية القديمة والجديدة التي يشهدها المجتمعان التونسي والمصري حاليًا. وتهدف الندوة من خلال ذلك إلى تحدّي المقاربات السائدة القائمة على ثنائية النجاح/الفشل، والتي يُفسَّر على أساسها التطوّر التاريخي للمنطقة في مرحلة ما بعد الانتفاضات الشعبية.

By bringing back the social question at the center of the analysis, this third seminar aims at providing an overview of the old and new social tensions that are currently crossing the Tunisian and Egyptian societies. In so doing, the webinar seeks to challenge the dominant dichotomic success/failure approaches with which the post-Uprising historical development of the region has been understood.

من خلال تسليط الضوء على أشكال ومسارات النزاع في المغرب والأردن بعد العام ٢٠١١، تهدف هذه الندوة الافتراضية إلى النظر بتمعّن في «العودة إلى المسألة الاجتماعية» وكيف يمكن لذلك أن يساهم في التوصّل إلى فهم أفضل للتغيّرات العميقة التي شهدتها المجتمعات العربية خلال العقد المنصرم.

During this roundtable, Dr. Michele Scala will present the Centre for Social Sciences Research & Action ongoing work on social protection in Lebanon, analysing the articulation of intersectional discriminations and privileges of the current social protection framework, and proposing ways forward for reform. Participants will be invited to discuss the findings and share their insights.

This workshop co-organised by Lebanon Support and the Arab NGO Network for Development aims to place the localisation debate in a longer temporality of global discussions that have shaped international cooperation during the past decades, and at bringing back equal and balanced partnerships at the heart of these discussions, and initiate a process towards the adoption and enactment of a civil society charter in Lebanon.

Through this experimental exchange we want to bring those together who drive or support participatory change processes, conflict transformation, and empowerment in communities. We want to explore the issues, strengths and challenges that unite all of us who work on participatory community empowerment. من خلال هذا التبادل التجريبي، نود أن نجمع المعنيون الذين يقودون أو يدعمون عمليات التغيير التشاركية، تحويل النزاعات، التمكين، والدمج في المجتمعات المحلية. نريد أن نستكشف القضايا والمصالح ونقاط القوة والتحديات التي توحدنا جميعا في العمل على تمكين المجتمع التشاركي.

During two full days, using participatory and reflective methods, we will look at ourselves and our own experiences to see how they have shaped us as journalistic and civil society actors. This way, we will find ways to do better documentation and reporting on the topic of migration.
