عبر إعادة تسليط الضوء على المسألة الاجتماعية كركيزة للتحليل، تسعى هذه الندوة الثالثة إلى تقديم لمحة عامّة عن التوتّرات الاجتماعية القديمة والجديدة التي يشهدها المجتمعان التونسي والمصري حاليًا. وتهدف الندوة من خلال ذلك إلى تحدّي المقاربات السائدة القائمة على ثنائية النجاح/الفشل، والتي يُفسَّر على أساسها التطوّر التاريخي للمنطقة في مرحلة ما بعد الانتفاضات الشعبية.

By bringing back the social question at the center of the analysis, this third seminar aims at providing an overview of the old and new social tensions that are currently crossing the Tunisian and Egyptian societies. In so doing, the webinar seeks to challenge the dominant dichotomic success/failure approaches with which the post-Uprising historical development of the region has been understood.

During this roundtable, Dr. Michele Scala will present the Centre for Social Sciences Research & Action ongoing work on social protection in Lebanon, analysing the articulation of intersectional discriminations and privileges of the current social protection framework, and proposing ways forward for reform. Participants will be invited to discuss the findings and share their insights.

The Community Mobilising Team of forumZFD Lebanon will be organising a Practitioner’s Exchange on Participation & Peaceful Change in Communities - Catalyzing Constructive Change Processes, Conflict Transformation & Empowerment in Fabrika, Achrafie, Beirut on December 3rd to 5th, 2018.

This event aims to present all the mappings in the Conflict Analysis Project’s data centre, and their usability in research, advocacy, programming, and policy.

GIZ ZFD in Lebanon and in collaboration with SALTO-Youth Euromed will be organizing the first Lebanese National Tool Fair "Hit the Road....Break the Code" from 29 June till 1st of July 2018. The tool fair will gather active Facilitators, Trainers, and Activists in Lebanon and will provide them with a space to share a tool they have created/developed under the topic of social cohesion.
