Lebanon of Tomorrow recently organized an Iftar event in partnership with Dar El Aajaza, a charity organization that provides care for the elderly. The event aimed to bring joy and comfort to the elderly during the holy month of Ramadan. The organization prepared a delicious dinner, including salads and desserts, to be distributed to all the elderly residents at Dar El Aajaza. This event provided an opportunity for the elderly to socialize and enjoy a special meal.

Lebanon of Tomorrow recently organized an Iftar event for Dar Al Aytam Al Islamia, a charitable organization that provides care for orphans in Lebanon. The event aimed to bring happiness and comfort to the orphans during the holy month of Ramadan. Lebanon of Tomorrow prepared a delicious dinner, including salads and desserts, to be distributed to all the orphans at Dar Al Aytam Al Islamia. This event provided an opportunity for the orphans to come together and enjoy a special meal.

Lebanon of Tomorrow recently organized an Easter event that aimed to spread joy and happiness throughout the community. The organization distributed Maamoul, a traditional Lebanese pastry, on all the roads of Ashrafieh. This event provided an opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate Easter, a significant holiday in Lebanon.

In early 2022, JLI launched our first three regional learning hubs, in the Middle East, Syria, and East Africa. Each regional hub has embarked on an individual journey of mapping, networking, engagement, and learning with local actors from the region. This series will explore those journeys, and will showcase the challenges, opportunities, successes, and learning that happens when we shift the power. In this 4-hour online session you can learn about preparing and facilitating a dialogue between two people, helping them to really listen to and understand each other and identifying actions they can take. You will learn how to prepare yourself so you can be equally supporting both sides, and to create a safe space for them to have a dialogue that is not about blame and defensiveness, but about really understanding the needs of both. You will have the opportunity to practice your new learned skills and to reflect on challenges you might have faced when you tried to facilitate or mediate before...

In this 3-hour online-session we will focus on our own feelings and needs. We will try to understand what keeps us from addressing the person and why we might not be able to just close this chapter. We can learn how to deal with our emotions involved and get clarity about our needs and next steps. This session can give us insights that make it much easier to approach the other person. Or it might even happen that after this session you don’t feel the need to address the issue with the other person anymore because you have ‘sorted this out’ in yourself.

In this 2-hour online-session we will discuss the signs of conflict escalation and what makes it difficult to act. We will also share tips on how to de-escalate in different situations. And we will look at how to take care of ourselves and others during (or after) such incidents. This can also mean letting go of self-judgements about how we ‘should have reacted’.
