Project title: Provision of basic water services for host communities in Lebanon – PN 15.4067.3 Expression of Interest for deep well exploration in Akkar The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) is owned by the Federal Republic of Germany and works worldwide in the fields of international cooperation for sustainable development. GIZ currently supports Lebanon in the water and education sector. Financed by the German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and in close cooperation with the partner Ministry of Energy and Water (MoEW) GIZ cooperates with the Water Establishments in the North, South and in Bekaa. For the drilling and exploration of deep wells GIZ is looking for qualified companies to drill up to 750m deep and to conduct pumping tests. Works include the drilling of deep wells in the Akkar Region, up to 750m deep, including casing and screens, up to two pumping tests for each well and the submission of required water tests with a well completion report, including packing and proper storage of continuous earth samples– this list is not complete but shall give an overview about typical works. If your professional profile fulfils the following criteria: company and / or establishment duly registered with the Government of Lebanon formation of company and / or establishment: latest 2012 (at least 5 years of experience) accredited company with the CDR and MoEW proven experience with the drilling of similar deep wells up to 750m deep proven ownership of required drilling machinery, compressors and equipment proven qualified professional employees and boreholer drillers valid professional indemnity insurance for all activities proven ability to submit international recognized bank guarantee we are interested in your expression of interest.
