CARE International in Lebanon, an INGO based in Furn El Chebbak, Beirut. CARE is one of the world’s largest humanitarian organizations fighting global poverty, working in more than 70 countries around the world. With more than 65 years of experience and long-term presence in many of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable countries. CARE first established a mission in Lebanon in 2006 and in April 2013 further enhanced its presence in Lebanon in order to address needs of the refugee population and host communities due to the current situation. CARE is accountable to provide support to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to innovate and scale –up market potential through providing them with business development services which aim at enhancing the structure, capacity and quality of their services. Currently, CARE is looking for a Service Providers who provides training for start-up individuals/enterprises in Tripoli and Mount Lebanon Areas. The trainings will be conducted in the latter regions accordingly. Minimum information to provide on your quotation: Name, address, phone and contact person Delivery time and place Total price Including 10% VAT “if you are not registered in VAT please declare) Discount offered Validity of the quotation (Minimum 1 month) Please indicate current availability of all items Interested vendors is requested to communicate with CARE at: procurement@careliban.org Terms of Reference Business Development Service Training – Start Up Package Background Information With the support of the Madad Trust Fund, under the Regional Resilience and Livelihoods Program for Syrian refugees and host communities, the LEADERS Consortium (composed of ACTED, Danish Refugee Council, CARE, Oxfam and Save the Children) aims to contribute to the economic self-reliance, resilience and social stability of displacement-affected populations in Jordan and Lebanon as prioritized by the Regional Refugee and Resilience Plan (3RP). The Program aims at working towards enhancing economic stability of all displaced and displacement affected populations. The intervention targets 250,000 individuals in Jordan and Lebanon, including: Scope of Work Under this project, CARE is accountable to provide support to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to innovate and scale –up market potential through providing them with business development services which aim at enhancing the structure, capacity and quality of their services. Target & Geographical Focus The target of this training is start-up individuals/enterprises from Tripoli and Mount Lebanon Area. The trainings will be conducted in the latter regions accordingly. The trainings will include on average 8-10 entrepreneurs. The Training CARE is aiming to provide business service delivery start up training package to clusters of enterprises from Tripoli and Mount Lebanon. The start-up training package should equip these entrepreneurs with the technical and entrepreneurial skills needed to start operation. Methodology CARE aims to provide the training program will be implemented with groups of 8 to 10 start-ups. It is expected that 4 training days will be provided over a period of 2 months. Trainings will be provided in groups’ session – no on the job training is envisaged. CARE expects to replicate this training on a demand basis. Detailed Outline of the Training Content to be provided Training Presentation, Material & Hand-outs Training Agenda Provision of the Training Evaluation Report of the Participants/Enterprises Profile Professional experience Experience in business delivery and providing trainings Experience with local enterprises Field Experience with vulnerable enterprises/communities Required qualities Good facilitations skills and has ability to engage with a wide variety of audiences from diverse backgrounds Good analytical and reporting skills Ability to present information in a succinct and compelling manner for non-technical staff Good Command of Arabic & English. Ability to provide the training in Armenian would be highly appreciated – for some of the trainings to be implemented in Mount Lebanon area.
