Video Production for Lebanon Support’s Gender Equity Network About Lebanon Support Lebanon Support is an independent non-governmental, non-religious, non-political, and non-profit making information and research centre. Established in 2006, Lebanon Support was registered as a National Non-Governmental Organisation in November 2008 (registered under the number 168/2009 AD). Lebanon Support aims at enhancing civil society capacity, efficiency and effectiveness through the creation of public spaces for reflection, collaboration and debate on and for civil society in Lebanon. Lebanon Support adopts a multidisciplinary approach and evidence and fact-based methodologies in civil society work in Lebanon so as to support and develop a civic voice and a better impact towards better accountability and societal change in Lebanon. Within this framework Lebanon Support focuses on information and knowledge sharing and management, production and delivery; as it is within Lebanon Support’s beliefs, that information and knowledge are at the heart of developing adequate strategies and interventions to reduce existing vulnerabilities and marginalization in the country. About The Gender Equity Network: http://civilsociety-centre.org/gen The Gender Equity Network aims to enhance local capacities, improve access to knowledge, as well as fill gaps in knowledge on gender thematics in Lebanon. It brings together civil society actors, researchers, practitioners, and experts, and relies on data sharing and collaboration partnerships with various local actors to develop some of its contents. The Gender Equity Network includes data and evidence-based research and analysis, resources, interactive mappings, info-graphics, and an aggregated online library on gender issues and concerns in Lebanon. Objective: The overall objective is to produce a “2 minute video” on a project entitled “The Gender Equity Network”. The video is expected to communicate and explain to the donors, stakeholders, the media and the wider public the use and objectives of the Gender Equity Network. Specific Objectives and Tasks Under the direct supervision of the Director of Publications, the selected applicant will be required to: Develop the video’s overall concept, structure and scenario Deliver a draft script and clear storyboard for comments Plan and schedule an efficient timeline for the project Review all documents and materials provided (project concept note, any other visibility material produced) in order to better understand the project objectives, Lebanon Support’s mandate and expected results Get Lebanon Support’s approval on the actors/ the animations, and all the other visual and audio components, and incorporate Lebanon support’s feedback and comments on the storyboard Produce a high-quality version of the scripted video with adequate background music in finest and high quality video formats, that will be agreed upon with the Lebanon Support team Provide the approved version of the video with subtitles in high quality, in the formats agreed upon with Lebanon Support, in order to upload it online Lebanon support retains full copyrights of all footage filmed for the production Work with the highest professional ethical standards and in keeping with Lebanon Support’s and the Gender Equity Network’s ideals and core messages. Expertise Required and Prequalification: The applications will be evaluated according to the following criteria: CV and portfolio/showreel; 1 to 2 paragraphs concept proposal, describing the main idea proposed for the video; Experience in working with international/local organisations and NGOs; Familiarity with Lebanon Support’s objectives and scope of work; Additional experience in communication and digital media is an added value; Ability to produce high quality video on tight deadlines; Excellent planning and organizational skills; Ability to start immediately. Plan of Work / Duration: This assignment is expected to start 10 May 2017 and be completed within 3 months. We propose at least 5 days to be dedicated to including Lebanon Support’s input on the draft production and completing the final versions of the outcomes. Mode of payment: Payment shall be made in two installments. 50% of the payment will be made upon receiving and reviewing the script and storyboard following the inception meeting, and the remaining 50% will be made after successful delivery of the final outcome taking into consideration all of Lebanon Support’s feedback.
