Facilitator

Project Overview Akkar Network for Development (AND) has been working in Akkar for the last 5 years with women, youth and local authorities to promote the well-being of the community. In addition to other interventions in the area, AND is currently working on several protection initiatives aiming to reduce violence against women and children, along with women and youth empowerment. AND has been working on fostering an inclusive effort in the implementation of a community led initiative to spread awareness about gender and response to GBV along with self-empowerment for women and youth.                               Areas of Responsibility: Round table Facilitator The Facilitator must provide facilitation for the one workshop in Akkar. The facilitator will conduct a roundtable discussion with different communities in Akkar with Lebanese and Syrian community stakeholders. The purpose of the roundtable discussion is to create a safe space for interaction and collaboration between the participants, and for them to plan recommendations for additional interventions in their communities. ·       Design and present the workshop agenda and a detailed timetable of the workshop ·       Enhance the participation within the roundtable discussion ·       Create an interactive environment within the roundtable discussion ·       Make neded observations and recognize when interactions, situations and group dynamics Excellent communication, oral, and written skills Excellent presentation and facilitation skills must be comfortable with working with group dynamics while managing the meeting or activity process. Workshop location: in Halba – Akkar.   Reporting The facilitators shall report to the Project Manager
