Youth Project Coordinator

Work Context: Sonbola is a startup grassroots NGO that focuses on delivering educational programs, specifically to fill the gaps of Syria’s education crisis and address the education of Syrian refugee children and youth, with a special focus on quality and sustainability. Position Purpose: The Youth Project Coordinator will be responsible for oversight of the Youth activities in the Bekaa area, and will be responsible for making sure the program meets its key deliverables on time, within budget, and with the required quality.  He/she will closely work with local partner organizations, as well as other local actors including municipalities and service providers.  S/he will ensure accountability Sonbola’s policies and donor rules and regulations.  Major Responsibilities: Youth Mobilization & Capacity Building and Coordination Ensure the Youth Syrian Refugees outreach and guarantee the selection as per the criteria set Mobilize and motivate the youth to adhere to the Youth Leadership programs Coordinate with the Programs Manager to ensure proper implementation as assigned in a timely, professional way Ensure effective communications between Beirut office, field offices and partners Support capacity development trainings and opportunities for Youth to enable them complete their leadership program effectively Ensuring that the training sessions are implemented on time and within budget, with the quality required Promote synergies between Sonbola’ adolescent protection and other programs     Program Implementation: Provide day-to-day support and coordination in the Bekaa area, including administrative, financial and logistical support Trouble shoot any administrative problems and report any challenges or bottlenecks to the Program Manager; Ensure proper implementation of all the field standard operating procedures Conduct filing and ensure all documentation is recorded, saved, and filed based on minimum standards; and as needed translate documents. Assist the Program Manager and Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in all operations related to the project implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting; Work closely with the M and E Officer to ensure that all relevant monitoring and evaluation is carried out in the Bekaa area, focus group discussions, ensuring pre and post tests are carried out, assisting with the analysis of data for the Bekaa area in order to identify areas where the program needs to be strengthened or activities changed in order to have the intended impact Ensure effective implementation of the complaints process and mechanisms; Collect and analyze the needed data and indicators and submit weekly updates and monthly progress reports including outcomes, challenges and recommendations to the management   Other Ensure all project planning and documentation is completed in timely manner; Participate in internal office coordination and planning meetings and workshops; Other assigned tasks, as necessary
