Roving Social Worker - Beirut/mount Lebanon

Tasks & Responsibilities:   Identifying families or individuals in need of psychosocial support or counseling through outreach activities and home visits to refugees and host communities’ households. Providing accurate referrals when need be; i.e., the social worker will refer patients and clients to IMC supported clinics, hospitals, and centres; in addition to other local NGOs and INGOs.  Moreover, the social worker will dispense information about the various programs and services offered by IMC and its affiliates.  Coordinate the management of the mental health referrals between IMC Community based mental health care centres and the mhGAP supported primary healthcare centers or IMC MHPSS/health supported PHCs. Promote the integration of mental health into primary healthcare at 5 PHCs within a geographical area. Conducting awareness sessions for Mental Health. Conducting interviews with service users (Refugees and host population) and their families to assess and review their situation. Completing intake assessments, evaluations, treatment recommendations, and reviews. and other documentation as necessary.  Conducting home visits to beneficiaries when needed. Work closely with IMC MHPSS manager to support case management teams in implementation of MHPSS activities. Prioritize trainings and team meetings in IMC as required by the direct supervisor. Reporting: Reporting directly to IMC MHPSS manager Write monthly reports to be submitted regularly and providing timely updates as required Meeting required deadlines. Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.
