Clinical Social Worker - Bekaa

Under the technical supervision of the Protection Program Manager and the supervision of the Bekaa Area Manager, the social worker will support the project implementation through the following tasks: Assess the needs of the targeted beneficiaries and ensure engagement of the beneficiaries in the design of and support the team in the implementation of the activities; Facilitate and encourage the participation of children, parents and caregivers, notably the most vulnerable community members, ensuring proper attention to their specific emotional and physical needs / difficulties; Ensure the adoption of minimum standard required (ex. Child Protection in Emergency) in the conduction of the activities; Conduct Focused PSS activities such as emotional support groups, focus group discussions and knowledge and skills development; Work in compliance with the approach defined by the Psychosocial (PSS) Committee, where culturally appropriate activities with PSS and protection objectives follow structured and age-appropriate curriculum in order to ensure participants are better equipped to protect themselves; Refer to the case manager and psychologist when dealing with vulnerable cases of Child Protection (CP) and Survivors of Gender Based Violence (SGBV) identified or referred by a staff member; Participate in interagency coordination meetings and sector working groups; Participate in capacity building trainings related to the area of operations and the protection program scope of work; Submit monthly reports concerning implemented outreach activities, case observation and identification, referrals, focal points meetings and related challenges;
