Budgeting And Financial Reporting Analyst

Main Role The Budgeting and Financial Reporting Analyst ensures preparation of the Society’s financials statement, controls the budgets related to the projects, provides the donors with the financial requirements and manages the tax requirements of the Society   Operational Roles and Responsibilities Develop budget assumptions and determine the impact of changes in decisive parameters on an ongoing basis Develop and update budget policies and procedures and communicate approach and timeline throughout the Society Prepare and analyze periodic reporting data related to operational performance, variances and metrics Initiate and assist in the development of the annual budget process Review, monitor and analyze the reasonableness of budgetary requests, recommend appropriate balance and use of limited resources Reconcile requisitions to actual payments and budget accounting Follow up with the departments on expenditures and budget update and report expenditures to donors Ensure that accounting allocation is properly performed and that payments are correctly charged to projects Follow-up on outstanding entries to have the accounting system up to date and reporting up to date Coordinate with the accountants appointed at the branches to request and receive financial reports Review analysis of data and trend analysis as well comparison of current data with budgeted and forecasted numbers Ensure that the closing checklist was properly and completely executed in order to close the Society’s accounts and to produce the financial statements Review financial statements and other management reports Ensure that bank reconciliations have been properly performed Maintain and approve changes to the chart of accounts (adding and deleting or deactivating an account) Analyze financial statements of the Society as well as its expenses and revenues in order to predict future financial performance Prepare and report on the feasibility of proposed projects or assignments as request To hold a list of reporting activities and prepare reports within the deadline of each donor To prepare cash requests based on the need and the budget of each project To coordinate with the donors on the latest budget and potential MOU’s To provide coordinators with requirements (such as supporting documents, contracts, invoices, receipts, etc…)
