TITLE: Administrative Assistant for a Women Empowerment Project REPORTS TO: The Project Coordinator SUMMARY: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting all project's activities: logistics, following up with trainers, MEAL activities, reporting, etc.  PROJECT TITLE: Empowering Economically Marginalized Lebanese Women in Nabaa Sin el Fil PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project will take place in the impoverished area of Nabaa-Sin el Fil, Beirut, Lebanon, which has become a sanctuary for various economically vulnerable communities seeking low-cost living. Employability, self-empowerment, and vocational training will be provided to 60 women who lack basic skills for employment. The project will end with at least 50% of the women self-employed or obtaining new or better jobs in area markets, small factories, and shops. Project GRANTED BY the U.S.-Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Administrative/Organizational * Assist in the coordination of the project activities. * Provide Assistance with the communication of the partners involved. * Provide Assistance in the design, implementation, and analysis of the MEAL Activities. * Identify and work within the logistics of the project. * Assist in the financial and narrative reporting of the project. Communication *Performs all tasks related to the project’s operations as directed by the Project Coordinator. *Establish well-based connections with the partners, and the logistical sectors involved in the implementation and work of the project. PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS The Administrative Assistant will demonstrate competence in the following areas: > Relationships: Positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally > Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills > Teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions to enhance organizational effectiveness > Organization: Excellent time management skills; attention to detail; the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency;   MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: > B.A. degree > Fluent in English and Arabic, French is an asset. > Good familiarity with commonly used PC Office work: word processing, spreadsheet, database software packages and social media applications
