Technical Consultant

IWPR is looking for a technical consultant that can help set up, format, and troubleshoot a remote training system. We are planning to deliver remote training courses in various subjects within conflict zones, many of which have limited internet quality. The consultant will work part-time over a roughly one-month period to set up the platform and tailor training materials to it. S/he will then be available, on a per-need basis, to troubleshoot any issues that arise. Responsibilities: Understand IWPR's remote training strategy; Work with IWPR and its partners in conflict zones to develop technical capacity in remote training (hardware, software, equipment, etc.); Coordinate with content experts to ensure training materials are suitable for a remote training module; Be available for occasional follow-up to troubleshoot any issues. Qualifications: Strong experience in developing remote training systems; Experience delivering remote trainings (preferable); Experience doing remote training in conflict zones with weak internet (highly preferable); Experience in working with civil society actors (preferable); Ability to travel to Lebanon and potentially other MENA countries.
