Trainer – Community Involvement In Solid Waste Management

I. INTRODUCTION Project Background Information With the objective of improving environmental conditions in both Nahr el Bared and Rashidieh camps ANERA Lebanon proposes a 1-year Community-Based Solid Waste Management project that serves as a targeted response to the urgent problem of the waste crisis and the potential health threats that face communities throughout the country.  II. PURPOSE OF THE CONSULTANCY ANERA is currently seeking a trainer on “Community Involvement in solid waste management” for local CBOs and partnering with ANERA. Trainings will take place in Rachidieh – Tyre and in Naher El Bared – Akkar between September and October 2017.  The Consultant is expected to perform the following duties: Develop in coordination with ANERA one common training program for local CBOs in Rachidieh and Naher El Bared Camps; Tailor the training content and methodology based on each of the target groups; Prepare pre-and post- knowledge evaluation tests in order to assess the knowledge acquired during the training workshops; Develop a summary report at the end of the training, specifically to include major challenges, lessons learned, and recommendations;  Interested trainers are requested to send a brief proposal including the training agenda, their detailed CV and a list of trainings provided earlier with a corresponding list of clients/NGOs. A daily cost shall be provided since the total number of days will be specified with the trainer once the training program is set.   III. REQUIREMENTS The Consultant should possess the following competencies, and experience: Master or equivalent degree in Environmental Science, Social Sciences or related field; Demonstrated experience in designing and facilitating training workshops in the above-mentioned topic;
