Code Of Conduct Development Consultant

Background: Fe-Male is a civil feminist collective working with women and girls to eliminate injustice through building young feminist movement, empowering agents of change, and campaigning together against discriminatory norms and policies. In partnership with ABAAD, Fe-Male is currently looking for a “Code of Conduct Development Consultant” for a project aiming to ensure a better quality of life free from violence for women and children in Lebanon through contributing to improved protection, prevention and service provision. Major Responsibilities: The consultant is expected to deliver the following tasks: Develop a Code of Conduct (CoC) between Media institutions/personnel and Women NGOs on gender-sensitive media coverage in conflict/post conflict situation; Ensure that the CoC will be collectively developed with relevant official and civil society actors and entities; Conduct Desk research/ review for similar code of conducts in related fields; Facilitate and manage focus groups with professionals (Media personnel, GBV actors, Case Managers, media officers in the NGO sector, etc.); The consultant is expected to report to the project coordinator. Skills: Highly organized and attentive to details; Strong problem-solving skills; Diplomacy and dynamic personality; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work in a team as well as independently; Good judgment, initiative, high sense of responsibility, organizational and analytical skills; Gender sensitive and familiarity with the human rights approach.  Work Experience: - More than 5 years experience in media/ journalism - Previous experience in working on gender issues - Prior experience in developing reports, policy papers, code of conducts, studies, research papers in the field of media and gender
