Mentor Arabia Invites qualified candidates to apply for the Project Coordinator vacancy to support its objectives & goals.   Duties and Responsibilities  Scope of Work The “Youth Peer Mentorship” project is a joint partnership between Mentor Arabia Foundation and UNICEF that aims at strengthening links between UNICEF’s on-going youth training initiatives and employment opportunities. This will be achieved by providing vulnerable youth with mentorship support, thus empowering them to make sound career decisions. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the “Youth Peer Mentorship” project, which will involve a broad range of activities at the national level, including coordination, planning and management, in order to achieve results and objectives identified under the project. Expected Outputs and Deliverables Responsible for the coordination of day-to-day implementation of the project including the preparation and maintenance of work plans and ensuring their timely implementation Liaise with the partners, consultants and trainers on a regular basis Undertake field visits to provide technical guidance and supervision as well as to regularly monitor the progress of activities Monitor and evaluate project activities against the indicators and benchmarks established in the project document and the work-plan in a quality and timely manner Develop monitoring and evaluation tools and coordinate data analysis Prepare and disseminate project briefs, status updates, and progress reports for internal monitoring purposes and to share with partners and donors in a timely manner Directly supervise project staff and consultancies and ensure that their objectives and tasks are clear and well incorporated; provide effective leadership Address arising challenges and identify alternative plans of action Closely track the utilization and disbursement of project funds, ensuring that funds are committed, re-allocated and expended within the budget and in a timely and efficient manner Mobilize personnel, goods and services needed for project implementation Coordinate with administration and finance units to procure all equipment, supplies, materials and services required to implement the project activities, ensuring cost efficiency and accountability in compliance with Mentor Arabia and donor regulations and procedures Generate financial progress reports for the project Maintain close contact with partners, counterparts and stakeholders to regularly update them on project implementation Represent Mentor Arabia in relevant meetings and events under the project as needed Ensure adequate acknowledgment and visibility of the donor contribution at all levels Any other tasks/assignment relevant to subject of the assignment   Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: social science, business, public administration, political science, economics, international relations, or any other related field. Minimum 5 years related experience Experience in a non-profit organization (i.e. national, regional, international field) Experience in project management and implementation Experience in youth and children development is favourable Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English Excellent knowledge of spoken and written Arabic   Technical Skills Understanding of non-profit sector Understanding of governmental policies and international/regional practices to social development and awareness Project development and implementation Planning and budgeting Partnership building Training skills is a plus Fundraising skills is a plus Report writing Research Monitoring and Evaluation   Competencies Resource mobilization Planning and coordination Strategic and analytical thinking Communication and negotiation Time Management & punctuality Commitment and responsibility Integrity and transparency Leadership Teamwork Problem solving Ability to work under pressure    We encourage all qualified candidates to apply, irrespective of race, gender or age.
