GVC is an Italian NGO founded in 1971. Actually is working in 22 countries worldwide. GVC presence in Lebanon dates back to the begin of Syrian Crisis and since then GVC has been implementing emergency and development projects in Bekaa financed by International Donors mainly in WASH sector.
GVC is actually recruiting personnel to cover the position of HR & Admin Officer
Position Title: HR & ADMIN OFFICER
Reporting to: Finance, Administration and logistics coordinator
Duty station: Zahle/Al Ain
Salary grade: G4
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Human Resources:
Implement GVC recruitment procedures in accordance with Lebanese Labour Law;
Assure that all GVC staff are contracted using the correct GVC templates and in accordance with Lebanese Labour Law;
Assure an introductory presentation and GVC welcome pack for all new staff;
Liaise with the insurance company to assure coverage and good case management for all GVC staff according to GVC specifications;
Assure that staff dossiers are complete, confidential and up to date in accordance to the personnel checklist, and that staff are equipped as required by their positions;
Assure that all GVC staff abide to GVC staff manual;
Manage staff evaluations processes with line managers, and collective and individual staff grievances;
Liaise with logistics to arrange accommodation booking and transportation for meetings, trainings and workshops in coordination with the line manager;
Liaise with logistics and finance in order to manage all needs and expenses of GVC offices;
Attend HR coordination meetings in coordination with the line manager;
Liaise with HQ to manage transport and hotel booking requirements.
Administration:
Liaise with logistics and finance in order to manage all GVC contracts, ensuring their completion and that payments clauses are respected;
Maintain organized hard copy files of all contracts according to GVC filing system;
Liaise with logistics in order to ensure all GVC premises are to good working/living standards.
PERSONAL AND INTER-PERSONAL SKILLS
Arabic and Fluency in written and spoken English
Skills in planning, organizing, supporting and facilitating workshops.
Ability to work independently highly organised and able to work respecting deadlines
Strong sense of responsibility, flexibility and willingness to work long hours
Understanding of and commitment to humanitarian principles and values
EMPLOYEMENT CONDITIONS
Contract duration: 1 year full-time with possibility to renew;
Required Starting Date: ASAP
Duty Station: 60% Zahle (GVC office) 40% North Bekaa (GVC Ain Office).
