The Social Worker is responsible for organizing and coordinating all psychosocial support activities and providing case management at Kayany Schools in Central Bekaa. He/she reports to and coordinates with the Project Coordinator and will be supervised by a specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Organizes trainings/awareness sessions on Child Protection and PSS sessions
Develops and supervises psychosocial programs for vulnerable and high-risk children
Provide case management to the referred students and follow-up with every case until case closure
Be the focal point for referrals and the main contact with other entities in coordination with the Project Coordinator and School Supervisor.
Makes sure the teachers are delivering the needed Child Protection curriculum and abiding by the its guidelines
Perform family visits when required
Ensures prompt execution of other tasks, which are within the ambit of the position, which may be requested by the Project Director as needs occur
Reports on progress in resilience sessions and documents accordingly
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 3 professional years of experience as a social worker with children
Proven managerial experience
Background in GBV and Child Protection especially with refugee communities and displaced people
Required English and Arabic (written & spoken)
Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel…etc.)
Ability to write and edit reports under deadlines
Ability to work in multicultural environment
Ability to perform under pressure
Motivated, hard working, and very reliable
Previous work experience in Lebanon or the region is preferred
