Teaching Assistant

General objective of the job: The Teaching Assistant will be working at a Non-formal Education Center that provides education for kindergarten level children affected by the Syria conflict in Lebanon. S/he will be responsible for assisting teachers/ educators to prepare and deliver lessons and education activities.   Main Job Responsibilities: Assist in preparing lesson plans and learning activities Assist the teacher in delivering lessons Assist  in preparing lesson material, bulletin board displays and classroom exhibits Assist in the implementation of psychosocial activities as instructed Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and material in order to prevent injuries or damage Motivate and encourage pupils during lessons Work one-to-one or with small groups of students who need further learning support to ensure the participation of all children. Take  part and assist in outings and community activities Ensure strict adherence to ADRA Lebanon Child Protection Policies at all times, including respect for confidentiality and child centred approach, acting in the best interests of the child Perform other duties of a similar nature as requested by the supervisor   Qualifications: Required: Diploma in Teaching or a relevant field Work or volunteer experience with 3-5 years old children Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Skilled at using basic computer programs Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities Preferred: Experience working with refugee population
