Coordinator For Children And Youth Arts Education Program

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Arts Education Program Coordinator will have responsibilities dealing with all the aspects of the program: Teachers Interviews teacher candidates and makes recommendation to the executive director for staffing.  Makes effort to retain arts center teachers Works closely with the teachers and is responsible for providing leadership Organizes time and agenda for planning the year for teachers in September Instructs the teachers in teaching methodologies that lead to a desired result Students Recruits students to the program through campaigns on the ground, social media  contact with other Ngo’s that work with children and  links with neighboring schools. Follows up on student attendance and makes efforts to prevent student drop outs. Parents Encourages parent involvement  collaborates closely with the parents' committee Has regular contacts with, and acts as, a resource person for the Ayadina parents The Arts Programs Is instrumental in the continuous development and improvement of the arts program Ensures that the agreed upon curriculum is  implemented in each arts course Makes sure that individual student progress is regularly assessed using agreed upon assessment tools. Observes classes for  their effectiveness and presents  a monthly  formal report  to the executive director and twice yearly to the Board Ensures that adequate records are kept of all program activities Ensures that all courses have the necessary resources   Presents each trimester a  projected arts education budget to the executive director and in March to the Board. Fundraising and Events Is responsible for  the event management of all arts related events Actively participates in organizing the annual fundraisers of the Association
