Communication Intership

OBJECTIVES:

The intern will provide general support to the communications work at Greenpeace Med, This will allow the intern to develop new skill sets and gain hands on experience on various aspects of Greenpeace’s media and communications work, both offline and digital.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
# Have fluent written Arabic and French (English is a plus)

# Creative writing Arabic and French

# Have an experience in media monitoring and trend or story tracking

# Have a very good background on social media platforms

#Have basic skills in photography/ videography
# Be good at multi-tasking
# Willing to learn new skills, and share your skills with others
# Interest in and awareness of environmental issues

# Good background in media

TASKS FOR  COMMS INTERNS:
#Translating to Arabic and Arabic editing

#Translating to French and French editing

#Reporting media and social media stories about environmental issues happening in the MENA region

# Quantitative and qualitative media analysis

# Edit news stories for the greenpeacearabic.org website
# Draft text for email newsletters
# Help keep our Facebook Page and Twitter account updated

PROGRAM SUPPORT:

Working hours: From 10:00 am to 18:00 pm

CONDITIONS AND HOW TO APPLY:
GPMed internships are full-time positions (40 hours per week). Our internships are meant for students or recent graduates who have completed their studies less than 1 year ago. This internship lasts from one to three months maximum and remuneration is via a modest monthly honorarium that covers transport and food allowance. A certificate of Internship will be delivered at the end of the agreed period of internship.
