Project Manager

The AFDC is seeking a qualified project manager for immediate recruitment.  The Project Manager is responsible for project implementation, management and supervision in accordance with the standards set out by the organization and donors. He/she will work within the guidelines, policies and mission of the organization and will be accountable and responsible for specific projects as assigned by the NGO's management. The main responsibilities include: Direct, plan and coordinate the work of the project staff and experts including supervision and evaluation, training and team building Attend weekly departmental meetings to maintain effective communication Supervise and track project development, milestones and core activities Prepare project narrative reports, financial reports, and other communications Analyze trends in the projects, identifying issues and developing and recommending solutions to the Executive Director Implement, manage, supervise and evaluate all activities based on the project work plans and budget Maintain compliance with donors’ rules and regulations Support in preparing project budgets, logical frameworks, and action plans. The idea candidate will have the following requirements: Fluency in Arabic and English (Oral and written) Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other key computer software Strong leadership, project management, communication, and analytical skills Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and carry out field visits Knowledge in finance and familiarity with budget preparation Familiarity with participatory approaches and community involvement Minimum of 4 years with relevant project management experience preferably within an NGO Prior experience with USAID funded projects is a plus.
