Education Reform And Institutional Capacity Building Specialist

Background Chemonics seeks an Education Reform and Institutional Capacity Building Specialist for the anticipated four year DFID Support to Reaching All Children through Education II (RACE II) Formal Education Programme (SR2) in Lebanon. The program aims to support the Government of Lebanon, particularly the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Centre for Education Research and Development, in its plans to improve public sector education service delivery and strengthen the formal education system. The overall objective is delivery of formal education to Lebanese and refugee children ages 3 to 18 in Lebanon. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world. Responsibilities include: Assist the MEHE in the development of strategic frameworks and education reform policies. Strengthen MEHE and CERD staff skills for the planning and delivery of educational services. Provide advice and support in planning and programming of services. Develop and deliver trainings on educational management and organizational capacity building for MEHE staff Support Lebanon SDG strategy and coordination among the different donors. Support the development of a long-term plans on data management Qualifications: Master's degree in education, organizational development, or other relevant field; Ph.D. degree preferred Experience in education reform and strategic planning and government capacity building Experience in education management, operating at a senior level Experience in training and capacity building of high-level officials Experience working in the Middle East and Lebanon preferred.
