Assume primary responsibility for the management and implementation of the roll-out of the standard operating procedures for responding to gender-based violence (GBV) in the UNRWA primary healthcare settings in Lebanon, and ensure compliance with project donor agreements, particularly expected results, outputs and activities in accordance with log frames and timeframes and notify the supervisor immediately as issues arise;
Ensure adequate project monitoring systems and evaluation procedures are in place applying appropriate tools in order to collect and update all progress indicators for the project;
Conduct an initial health staff assessment on GBV concepts, knowledge ,attitudes and practices via a preset questionnaire before designing the training curricula;
Design training curricula for healthcare providers to sensitize health professionals to GBV basic concepts, safe identification and referral, first-line emotional support and the procedures as defined in the SOPs;
Provide technical guidance to family health teams in the health programme, particularly through implementation of on-the-job training and coaching of health teams in 27 health centers across Lebanon;
Compile and prepare quality monthly progress reports;
Ensure strong communication with the GBV case management programme through their active participation in project activities and as main referral focal points for health teams;
Document the lessons learned from the different interventions and on developing best practices and knowledge management capacity, particularly as relates to the sustainability of the project;
Identify further capacity-building needs and priorities for the health programme in implementing the SOPs;
Assess the functionality and effectiveness of the established referral pathway for the provision of clinical management of rape (CMR) through the UNRWA Hospitalization Policy and contractual agreements with relevant hospitals in Lebanon;
Performs such other functions as may be assigned.
