Researcher/project Manager (Full Time)

Main tasks and responsibilities: -        Develop, implement and monitor  the local RLS program on migration  (e.g. the organization of round tables, workshops, exchange programs) -        Conceptualize, tender and supervise studies on migration -        Establish and maintain a network of experts and cooperation partners from Lebanon respectively Syria and Iraq active in the field of migration -        Contribute to RLS analytical and public relation work -        Support the overall performance and further development of RLS office in Beirut -        Control the programme budget and cooperate with partners and the RLS headquarters on administrative and financial issues -        Support of project planning, monitoring, reporting and evaluation processes Professional and personal requirements: -        Master’s degree in social science or related fields -        Good analytical and factual understanding of migration related issues -        Good analytical and factual understanding of Lebanese and regional politics (Syria, Iraq), civil society and grassroots movements -        Minimum of 5 years professional experience in research and project management -        Experience in conceptualizing, implementing and documenting workshops, round-tables, and similar events   -        Working experience with research institutions or NGOs in the region -        Sharing the understandings and values of RLS -        Willingness to travel -        Convenience in working in an international setting -        Ability to work in a small team, conduct tasks independently and professionally -        Fluency in spoken and written English; Arabic and German are assets, ability to write academic papers in English -        Highly motivated, highly communicative and creative, well-organized
