RESPONSIBILITIES
Objective 1: Coaching and support partners:
Activities/Main duties:
Bilateral support and inclusion promotion in the humanitarian sphere require coaching and side by side work with HI partners. This work is frequently executed through field visits, secondments or concrete field recommendations executed directly in the field. The Inclusion Junior Officer will support and execute visits to provide HI partners with concrete recommendations and ensure contents and tools shared during trainings and awareness sessions are properly used in the field. For these tasks the inclusion senior officer will jointly work with the Inclusion Senior officer to execute the follow ups and field work. For these tasks it is required in particular to:
Cooperate and coordinate with the Inclusion Senior to execute activities in the field.
Execute field visits and provide concrete recommendations on enhancing inclusion in services provided by partners.
Supervise the use of inclusive tools by partners to ensure messages and contents are properly transmitted in the field.
Ensure the continuous adaptation of awareness raising messages and activities following feedback and lessons learnt.
Analyse the engagement of persons with specific needs and their families in the implementation of activities executed by partners.
Objective 2 : Data Collection and Reporting:
Activities/Main duties:
Produce specific report of the activities’ executed in the field, such as trainings, partners coaching session or awareness sessions. All reports should be precise and maintain formats and structures provided by the Manager and Inclusion Advisor. In addition, collect information from partners and scout for potential opportunities for partnership. The Inclusion Senior Officer is therefore also in charge of compiling information of different type to feed the implementation of other parallel HI project or activities of the Inclusion Unit. For these tasks it is required in particular to:
Update regularly and with precision activity follow up tools.
Produce reports to your line manager
Report any problem or constraints and propose improvements
Collect information about cases and opportunities
Write reports on collected information and to feed the Inclusion Unit or other HI projects.
Educational Background and Working Experience
Social or related degree, master is an asset
At least 2 years of professional experience in related field, including social work, protection, inclusion activities, training facilitation, external representation
Experience with INGO, preferably related to inclusion
Professional Skills required
Demonstrate good understanding of the context, neutrality
String communication and presentation skills.
Understanding of a comprehensive approach on disability vulnerability and inclusion
Demonstrated effective communication, analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrated capacity to prepare, organize and facilitate trainings and mainstreaming
Ability to represent the organization on multiple humanitarian forums
Ability to propose workable solutions and identify their implications (positive and negative) adapted to beneficiaries’ needs
Personal skills required
Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills
Ability to work in a multicultural environment and in a multidisciplinary teamwork
Ability to work under high pressure with a great level of personal organization
Diplomacy sense, flexibility
Team spirit
Languages
English and Arabic mandatory (oral and written)
Computer Skills
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word and Power Point)
Good knowledge of use of email and scheduling
