Job Summary The Case Worker, with the guidance of the Case Manager (CM), is responsible to ensure quality case management service provision in line with international standards of case management. The caseworker will conduct all steps of the case management process (identification, assessment, documentation and referral (to relevant services) and follow-up) for an assigned number of vulnerable individuals, including SGBV victims and children vulnerable to abuse, exploitation, neglect and violence. S/he will organises and carry out work to address an individual (and their family’s) needs in an appropriate, systematic and timely matter through direct support and / or referrals. Duties and Responsibilities  Identification Work across different contexts, including local communities, informal settlements, community spaces, to ensure SGBV and child protection cases are identified and receive case management support, through regular presence in the community Conducts initial assessments for SGBV and child protection cases; conduct regular community visits to work with PSS Officers and community leaders on identification and referral Accept SGBV and child protection cases referred to Concern by other agencies and community partners Adapt/develop vulnerability criteria fitting the local context Assesses and prioritizes cases according to risk level  Case Planning and Implementation Based on the needs identified through the assessment, develop a case management plan, in collaboration with the beneficiary, and with supervision of CM Manage cases in line with Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) and guidelines Identify, refer and follow up on all services and ensure action points are carried out within the agreed timeframe; Maintain regular communication with external referral agencies for service provisions Regularly review, and when needed adjust, case plan to ensure progress; Monitor, guide, advise and support beneficiary and their family throughout the process; Provide information and advise the beneficiaries on existing social services and social counselling and how to access them Conduct family visits if necessary. Documents cases using case notes and regularly update the database to ensure comprehensive record of each case Maintain files, registers, computer databases and records in paper or electronic format. Ensure data collection and storage is done in a confidential manner;  Co-ordination and Reporting Participate in weekly case management meetings and peer to peer sessions; To directly work with other caseworkers and service providers on management of caseload and referrals Provides weekly updates/reports on cases and outreach activities to the Case Manager/Protection Programme Manager Support the mapping of the available services and organizations operating in the area; Ensures coordination and synergy with the main service providers in the area of intervention for prompt referral, follow up and information sharing;  Work Ethic Adhere to the standards of conduct outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Concern’s Code of Conduct; Support the promotion of the standards outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Concern Code of Conduct to the team and to the beneficiaries, and be committed to providing a safe working environment; Respect confidentiality and follow ethical guidelines  Other  Any other task required by the program.  Job Requirements Degree in the social sciences: Social Work or Psychology Knowledge of protection principles in humanitarian aid; Knowledge of concepts of SGBV and CP; Minimum of one year’s experience of implementing child protection and SGBV programs preferably,  social work or case management, in humanitarian or development settings; Counselling experience with NGO/INGO organization, including for at least one year of experience in Case management for CP and survivors of SGBV. Fluency in English and Arabic written and oral. Ability to prioritize, work under pressure, be able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail Ability to work as a member of a team essential.
