Nursing Team Supervisor - Tripoli

Main purpose: Plan, organize, and evaluate the activities of the clinic and the team associated, according to MSF values, policies, protocols, and universal health standards, in order to warrant the quality and continuity of the health care and the development of the plan of action. Accountabilities: Carry out the functions and tasks associated to his/her speciality, i.e. perform as a nurse, midwife, lab tech and anaesthetist, whenever required or needed, in order to optimize the resources, contributing with his/her knowledge and experience. Implement all the protocols and hygiene procedures, and supervise his/her team follow the same standards, in order to warrant the quality of the care and service in his/her speciality. Organize and coordinate the activities of his/her team (week’s schedule, annual leave, absences, etc.), evaluate their performance and define and ensure the needs for training of staff, in order to ensure the coverage of the human resources needs and maintain high standards of quality. Supervise the pharmacy and medical equipment management (drugs orders, follow-up of the stock, storage conditions, inventories, follow-up of expired drugs, drugs consumption, etc.) , in order to satisfy the needs of the clinic. Carry-out and/or coordinate information and data collection (patient files, forms, statistics, etc.) tasks in collaboration with the Medical Data Processing Officer, and elaborate regular reporting, in order to have updated and reliable information about the day-to-day activity in the project, output/ outcome and support decision-taking. Give weekly and monthly reports to the Project Medical Referent. MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities: 1-     Plan the HR and medical needs for the clinic activities. 2-     In collaboration with the PMR and the Technical Referents, ensure the follow-up of the applicability of the protocols and the quality of the care. 3-     Ensure an efficient patient flow within the clinic. 4-     Supervise the pharmacy and medical equipment management in coordination with the pharmacy team and the PMR to ensure respect and implementation of the MSF standards. 5-     Analyse consumption at pharmacy level to anticipate potential ruptures. 6-     Participate in the development of the Plan of Action. 7-     Attend weekly medical meetings. 8-     Organize regular meetings with the clinic team. 9-     Is the focal point for any problem/disturbance occurring in the clinic and handles it with accuracy. 10-   Is responsible for the clinic staff regarding respecting working hours, correct behaviour towards patients and colleagues, and is entitled to put in place disciplinary procedures in coordination with PMR, Administration & Project Coordinator.
