Job Summary   The Concern Worldwide is seeking candidate for a Capacity Building and Training Specialist role to be based in Halba, Akkar, Lebanon. Concern Worldwide Lebanon Livelihoods program is around three themes: Skill building and income generation, Sustainable Agriculture, and Micro & Small enterprise Development. Concern Lebanon aims to decrease household economic vulnerability and reliance on harmful coping strategies by increasing access to livelihoods and protection information and skills; home-based income-generating activities; and training and career guidance linked to savings and protection for adolescents. The Capacity Building and Training Specialist will be reporting to the Program Manager. The purpose of the Capacity Building and Training Specialist position is to work with project officers to develop and implement ToTs, training modules, materials and provide on-going coaching to implementing partners, consortium partners and field agents for livelihoods projects.   Capacity Building and Training Specialist will;   Develop and coordinate all project training modules and on-going technical assistance and mentoring to implement various trainings for beneficiaries with strong business and income generation component. Organize and arrange the implementation of capacity building and training activities for beneficiaries on different training topics  Assure the coordination of capacity building services with activities conducted under various project components Identify vocational training needs of beneficiaries and organize training workshops through private institutions or CBOs.   Roles and responsibilities   Ensure that training components and activities are implemented as outlined in the various project proposals and budget in accordance with Concern policies and regulations; Assist Agriculture team in consolidating technical knowledge in to easy to implement training field guide highly adapted to Lebanon context. Take Lead in conducting Training of Trainers (ToT) for partners and staff on business development, vulnerability assessment, financial literacy, child rights, etc. Using a niche market assessment done, identify potential topics for vocational trainings and coordinate with the government and private institutions to hire trainers and implement the trainings; Responsible for identifying the needs, challenges and opportunities amongst especially women beneficiaries and their business ideas, and organizing groups and trainings to address the relevant topics; Plan and provide support during the training of beneficiaries on financial literacy, savings methodology, financial resources, and risk management; Conduct on-going monitoring and evaluation on all project trainings and trainers to ensure that the focus, strategies and activities remain relevant for the beneficiaries and to propose adjustments when needed; Maintain ongoing communication with program stakeholders regarding project progress and challenges; Work as a team player providing relevant assistance to colleagues and ensuring that project components, for which he/she is responsible, are interlinked; Ensure to take and maintain minutes of meetings; accurately draft and provide training or workshop summaries/reports.   Produce monthly progress reports and provides input to Coordinate with the Business Development and Livelihood Officer to develop extensive plans for all project trainings;     Representation and Coordination   Represent Concern Lebanon at local, regional and national level in regards to meetings with Consortium members, donors, stakeholder and other relevant actors as necessary. Coordinate project activities with other actors and stakeholders in the programme area as necessary.       Work Ethic:   Adhere to the standards of conduct outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Concern Code of Conduct. Support and promote the standards outlined in the Programme Participant Protection Policy and Concern Code of Conduct to their team, partner and stakeholders and be committed to providing a safe working environment. Under take other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Assistant /Country Director.       Person Specifications   Minimum Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Social Sciences, Agriculture, Education or similar discipline from an accredited University, Master’s degree is desirable. Minimum 5 years of working experience with an NGO in delivering trainings, developing sessions and manual, managing learning cycle and testing sessions for efficacy. Minimum 3 years of working experience with refugees and most vulnerable communities. Minimum 2 years of experience in managing small team and coordinating with multiple stake holders for knowledge gain and consolidation. Minimum two years of work experience in conducting trainings for very vulnerable communities; host and refugees Trackable previous experience of any writing assignments; blogs, thesis, paper, manual, reports etc.   Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Arabic are a must. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office and email. Good track record of managing and leading a team Experience liaising and collaborating with local government authorities in North Lebanon Experience in capacity building of local organisations High level of self- initiative, autonomy and problem solving skills High ability to work in a systematic and organized manner High ability to be pro-active with tasks and duties, foreseeing challenges and delays High ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure, prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines Experience in conducting surveys, managing and analysing data and statistics to develop training material suitable for the target audience. Diplomacy and assertiveness; the ability to confront and discuss sensitive issues with respect and care Strong empathy skills and genuine care and respect for needs of others A belief in empowering marginalized and disenfranchised people Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality Commitment to humanitarian principles and values Non-judgmental attitude and respect for Concern’s beneficiaries, other staff and people that Concern deals with.
