Consultancy: Professional Graphics And Animation Designer

International Labour Day communications TOR   Oxfam is an international confederation of 20 organizations networked together in more than 90 countries, as part of a global movement for change, to build a future free from the injustice of poverty.   Oxfam is looking to hire a professional graphics and animation designer.   Purpose of the project Contribute to increase the knowledge and build the capacities of employees in Lebanon regarding work conditions, minimum standards of a working place and legal instruments in place to guarantee workers’ rights. All materials produced by the graphics and animation designer will support this goal.   Target audience: job seekers, employees, employers, corporate managers, municipal officials and different stakeholders.   Deliverables Each deliverable will feature the same designs/illustrations to be presented in different formats. They will comprise a central LEADERS branded character and common branding/theme that will run across all communications materials produced.   one 60-second animated video clip 5 sharegraphics 10 page A5 handout A2 Infographic poster with all 10 illustrations   Examples of information in all materials produced will contain: information about working conditions in Lebanon and the minimum standards at the workplace as stated in the Lebanese Labour Law.   A full creative brief will be provided to the consultant.   Languages: materials will be produced in Arabic and in English.   Work Conditions The consultant will be expected to carry out the duties within the timeframe described below. Oxfam will not provide any equipment and is not responsible for the consultant’s equipment.   Timeline The consultant is expected to start on the 13th of April 2013 and deliver the final draft on the 27th of April. First draft Wednesday 19th April Second draft Friday 21st April Second round of edits Tuesday 25th April Final feedback Tuesday 25th April Final edits and delivery Thursday 27th April   Management of the consultant The consultant will be contracted and managed by the Oxfam Lebanon Media and advocacy officer. Oxfam will provide support for in-country facilitation, transportation, in addition to ensuring Oxfam staff time in support of the activities.    Experience and skills Proven professional design and animation track Good communication skills Ability and availability to work quickly with short turnaround   Language requirements       Arabic English   Oxfam is seeking a freelance designer and animator to undertake this project. Fees and timelines should be submitted as part of the application, to Oxfam by interested parties, including CVs and relevant experience.
