Community Liaison & Logistics Officer

The Liaison & Log Officer will be responsible for: Security: Liaise with project staff on field visits and during field visits Immediately report all breaches of safety and security procedures and all threats to SFCG staff.  Liaise with Management Team to review security procedures and keep them up to date Facilitate staff evacuation in emergency situations Train staff on security measures Liaise with UN agencies, municipalities, local authorities, NGOs and other external actors to gain security information Ensure vehicle and staff movements are monitored according to procedures and that necessary safety and security equipment are available and in good condition Prepare security updates and reports as required and will ASSIST the Log and Procurement Coordinator with the following: Procurement related: Receiving and processing purchase requests. Following up on due diligence according to donors rules and production of documentation needed internally for payment process. Maintaining a database of preferred vendors up to date. Implementing and updating procurement procedures in coordination with management Administrative formalities, reception of merchandise, checking merchandise, transportation and allocation of merchandise. Stock management: Maintaining an updated inventory of general office supplies as well as project specific material at all times Tracking materials In and Outs Assuring the physical management of stock Responsible for office maintenance and ensuring that all materials and furniture that is damaged is either repaired or replaced Responsible for general office orderliness, ensuring that all material and stock is properly stored and that the office space is kept in an orderly  As job descriptions cannot be exhaustive, the position holder may be required to undertake other duties that are broadly in line with the above key duties. Other requirements: Good computer skills including knowledge of Office Package, Email packages, etc.; Very good capacity in problem solving;  Strong communication skills; Good knowledge of geographically assigned environment Good analytical skills Willingness and ability to be flexible; Rigorous, precise and polite; Excellent inter personnel skills and team spirit;  Valid driving license;
