The position of the Project Manager for the Media Department will be based on the following task description:
a) Announcing for the job opening of the trainers for the Media Department
b) Taking part at the interview and selection process of the trainers
c) Leading the outreach process for having applicants
d) Taking part at the pre-selection of the applications
e) Attending all workshops of the project
f) Logistical support for the workshops
g) Handing in and out of training equipment
h) Coordinating and supporting the trainer team on their job
i) Holding meetings on the training development with the trainer team
j) Monthly communication with DW on the project development
k) Marketing the services of the Media Department to local communities and NGOs
l) Coordinating with Area managers regarding outreach and logistic support
m) Submitting monthly report to Beirut Area Manager consisting of the targets, updates, challenges, and suggestions
n) Coordinating with Campji Project Manager on common workshops
o) Coordinating with supporting units such as finance, procurement, communication, and development departments when needed
p) Perform other relevant duties assigned by the direct supervisor
The Project Manager has strong skills in managing multiple workshops and various locations. She or he should show strong initiative in developing the project on the ground. Be active in the communication with the trainers, trainees, the NGOs and the local communities. Be able to travel in the region and work with the various community centers. The PM is a representative figure on official events or in front of the press. For the years to come she or he should play a leading role in developing the quality of the curriculum and the marketing aspects.
