About KAFA KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation is a feminist, secular, Lebanese, non-profit, non-governmental civil society organization seeking to create a society that is free of social, economic and legal patriarchal structures that discriminate against women. KAFA has been aiming to eliminate all forms of gender-based violence and exploitation since its establishment in 2005. It seeks to realize substantive gender equality through the adoption of a combination of different approaches, such as: Advocacy for law reform and introduction of new laws and policies; influencing public opinion, practices and mentality; conducting research and training; and empowering women and children victims of violence, and providing them with social, legal, and psychological support. BACKGROUND: Building on previous GBV related interventions targeting Syrian refugees as well as Lebanese women and girls, KAFA continues its partnership with UNFPA through enhancing institutions and scaling up/diversifying GBV related interventions in order to build resilience, mitigate risk, and meet the needs of survivors and women/girls at risk. This project targets non GBV specialized actors and women organizations in four areas in Lebanon: North (Bebnin&Berkayel), Bekaa (Majdel Anjar/souwairi, Mount Lebanon (Bourj Hammoud), and Zahrani. JOB PURPOSE: The main role of the M&E (Monitoring, Evaluation) Officer will be to design and manage M&E frameworks and tools that will monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of the projects. The M&E Officer will make regular field visits to targeted areas. The M&E officer will work closely with Program team to assess field conditions, support capacity initiatives, and track the progress of activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:            -      Monitor the process of rapid mapping of non GBV organizations -      Collect preliminary data on project’s stakeholders -      Monitoring the achievement of trainings in the selected areas, and ensure timely reporting to the program manager coordinator -      Assist the Program manager  in negotiating any changes to the project monitoring plan, or indicators -      Monitoring and following up progress on various meetings, reports, working papers etc. -      Monitor and support all activities implemented by organizations engaged in the project -      Collecting data from all project’s activities including trainings, services and other activities and maintaining the data in an Excel database, and generating reports to contribute to the project periodic reports -      Support program staff/partners on ways to properly documents, organize and capture program progress. -      Draft tools and their revisions as well as data collection procedures under the supervision of the program manager (e.g logical framework, project performance tracking, indicators, data flow chart) -      Support and participate in program and project evaluations -      Organize and conduct mid-term and post-project evaluations in the target areas. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES -       Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience – preferably in social work, community development, non-government organizations; -       Bachelor degree in social sciences, humanities, quantitative/qualitative research methods, or related field; -       1 to 3 years of Monitoring and Evaluation experience (essential) -       Demonstrated ability to build capacity of others -       Strong interpersonal skills -       Experience in a non-governmental organization, and a good knowledge of local context -       Good Level of proficiency in Windows Excel and quantitative analysis -       Strong team spirit -       Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
