The communication officer will work under the supervision of the project coordinator.
The expected tasks are:
supporting the “Speak up" project when it comes to social media (facebook, twitter, and instagram) and communication throughout its period of implementation.
manage the webpage and social media platforms
provide support within the preparations for the meetings with the coalition and core team members, attend those meetings, and follow up with partners regarding progress in the media strategy
initiate a media campaign on social media and the SIDC website after consulting with the Speak up team and the communication, marketing and advertising expert
follow up with the communication, marketing and advertising expert to update the social media platforms and Speak-up website
assist the media consultant in the preparations for the press conference
ensure the correct formulation of the press release formulated by the media consultant
Write invitation letter for stakeholder meetings and follow up accordingly
implement parts of the media strategy regarding the advocacy and lobbying campaign, and follow up along
develop weekly health messages related to the project (written in English and Arabic) to be displayed on the screen in the SIDC center
contact TVs stations to ensure TV spots conveying target messages to reduce stigma related to HIV, and follow up with contact personnel
submit a report that describes all tasks achieved and challenges faced
submit a report that includes recommendations for the next step
submit a timesheet on a monthly basis
attend weekly meetings with the speak up team to update the team on the progress of the work and coordinate the following tasks
