PURPOSE OF THE FUNCTION                Electrical or civil engineer based in Zahlé sub-delegation to support ICRC response for Syrian refugees.               The ICRC’s Water and Habitat department aims to ensure adequate access to essential services to               population affected by conflict or other situation of violence. Its interventions cover areas such as:                           •          Water supply, storage and distribution.             •          Sanitation, waste management and environmental issues.             •          Restoration and management of electro-mechanical systems.             •          Construction, rehabilitation, space management and safety of structure.                WHAT WE OFFER Working for one of the main humanitarian organization. Competitive employment package. 6months contract (renewable to open ended)             YOUR QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree (Electrical or civil engineer) 3-5 years’ work experience in a similar field. YOUR PROFILE Ability to work independently    Good knowledge of geographically assigned area Good analytical skills Very good knowledge of written and spoken English Very good computer skills including AutoCAD, MS project, spreadsheets, etc.               YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Contributes to the implementation of a WatHab Project mainly independently. Executes a variety of tasks that require technical skills for the implementation of Wathab programs, according to given instructions mainly independently Ensures the compliances of the ICRC procedures of the Wathab department at SD level Maintains contacts with interlocutors / authorities at local level mainly independently Ensure budget follow up for the projects under his/her supervision and s/he is responsible of the forecasting of the monthly expenditures Contributes to the preparation of PfR and budget Contributes & ensure that project documents are compiled together with the regular reporting of monitoring of projects.
